Sustainability

We attach great importance to conducting our business in a way that conserves resources and protects the environment. By constantly improving our products and services, reducing the environmental impacts of our activities, and providing a respectful and safe work environment for our employees, we are making an active contribution to sustainable development. We have come a long way in these areas since establishing a sustainability management system in 2022, and we are now documenting this progress in our sustainability report.

Products + Services

To meet the hygiene standards of our customers, we have been gradually increasing the number of portable toilets in our portfolio that come equipped with wash basins and sanitizer dispensers. We take pride in our commitment to superior hygiene; our new TOI HYGIENE+ is a testament to that. This unit is built with antimicrobial material, ensuring the highest levels of hygiene. On the sustainability front, we are investing in product longevity, energy efficiency, and environmentally friendly materials. One of our key initiatives is to increase the percentage of recycled material in our products. Our Sea TOI toilets are a prime example of this and are built with a minimum of 50% recycled plastic, a significant portion of which is made from old fishing gear.

87.6% of all new toilets now contain sinks.*

All toilets made of 50% recycled resources by 2025.

“Our Sea TOI units are such a hit with our customers! They’re ‘doubly sustainable’ because of their long service life and the recycled material that goes into them.”

Environment

We’re actively taking steps to reduce emissions and avoid pollution. For example, we are successfully transitioning our service vehicles fleet to alternative drive technologies to lower our CO2 emissions. This has led us to standardize and optimize our processes and services to reduce our use of water and chemicals to a minimum.

“In all my years as a Driver, I’ve never generated as little CO2 from my service runs as I do now.”

50% of all new service vehicles will be equipped with alternative drives by 2028.

56 households could meet their annual electricity needs with the five solar plants operated by our Poland branch.

Employees

Ensuring our employees’ safety and well-being is our top priority, and we achieve this by maintaining consistent health and safety management practices. We also invest in our employees' professional growth through in-house training programs, empowering them to stay up-to-date with industry advancements and career progress.

“What’s the secret to our repeated success in driving innovation? Working in diverse teams and are always open, respectful, and constructive in our dealings with one another.”

“I provide training that turns staff into full-fledged occupational safety officers. It goes far beyond the usual occupational health and safety precautions and makes our organization safer across all companies in the group.”

In the five highest-revenue countries alone, 3,242 employees** are deployed for the TOI TOI & DIXI Group, with our service drivers accounting for nearly 70% of that total.
